To maintain your skills and continue issuing Q19 inspection reports

Refresher training for the qualified thermographer: updating knowledge of the standard, comparing practice and retaining the ability to issue Q19 reports.

  • Update knowledge of the standard and its developments.
  • Revisit measurement error sources and how to control them.
  • Consolidate practice in anomaly classification and report writing.

  1. 1Changes to the standard and to practice since qualification.
  2. 2Lessons learned from the participants' own inspection campaigns.
  3. 3Difficult interpretation cases and common errors.
  4. 4Hands-on measurement and report-writing exercises.

Target audience

  • Qualified thermographers issuing Q19 reports

Prerequisites

  • Hold the qualification for infrared thermography inspection of electrical installations.

Learning methods

In person: revision sequences, peer exchange and hands-on work.

Learning assessment

End-of-session assessment, on which maintaining the qualification depends.

Scope of application

Refresher frequency and the conditions for maintaining the qualification fall under the APSAD D19 standard and the qualifying body.
