In a nutshell

What this course aims to achieve

Know how to wear the ARI and use suitable extinguishing methods during a second response

Three and a half days of second-response team member fundamentals, with a longer progression on manoeuvres and scenarios.

Linking kitting up, attack and withdrawal without losing coordination takes many repetitions.
Each training site offers different scenarios; you must be able to transfer them to your own site.

In-house emergency response team members (ESI) and staff designated for this role.

Physical fitness and, depending on the module, validation of a prior level — to be checked before enrolment.

In-person training, practical simulations on a training ground.

Assessed practical simulation.

The equipment and organisation level of in-house response teams depends on the risks, site, sector and locally applicable requirements.
