What this course aims to achieve

Validate skill blocks No. 4, 5 and 6 of the 'Manager du risque incendie en entreprise' pathway (French corporate fire-risk management qualification, expert level)

The upper level of the pathway: designing and defending the fire strategy of a complex, multi-site or high-stakes organisation.

Key challenges

  • At this level there are no ready-made answers: atypical sites force reasoning from principles, not tables.
  • The manager must arbitrate between regulatory requirements, insurers’ expectations and operating constraints.
  • They carry decisions whose cost is immediate and whose benefit is invisible until there is a fire.

  • Build a coherent fire strategy at organisation level.
  • Analyse complex scenarios and justify the solutions chosen.
  • Steer a compliance and improvement programme across several sites.
  • Engage with authorities, insurers, design offices and management.
  • Present and defend a synthesis project.

Prerequisites

  • Have completed previous pathway levels or show equivalent experience, to be checked before enrolment.

This cycle is not a regulated title; it does not remove the need for a design office or a competent body’s opinion on a specific project. The regulatory framework described is French; obligations applicable in Benin or another country differ and must be checked with the local authority or operator.
