Four days to learn how to command a second-response team: reconnaissance, decision, orders and team safety.

Key challenges

The team leader decides with little information under pressure, and the decision affects team safety.
They must stay lucid and clear when things speed up: short orders, priorities, feedback.
They bear responsibility for not sending the team beyond its means.

Prerequisites

Experience as a second-response team member; conditions to be checked before enrolment.

Assessment of running a command exercise.

Scope of application

This course builds skills; it awards no regulated title and does not replace the employer’s assessment or authorisation. The regulatory framework described is French; obligations applicable in Benin or another country differ and must be checked with the local authority or operator.
