What this course aims to achieve

Assess the performance and reliability of the technical and human safety barriers identified in the hazard study

Two days to assess the performance and reliability of safety barriers used in a hazard study, whether technical or human.

Key challenges

A barrier is given a confidence level without always demonstrating it: it must be justified.
A human barrier depends on context (stress, available time, training) and is harder to assess than a technical one.

These methods fall within the framework of applicable hazard studies and technological risk prevention plans (PPRT), particularly in France; their recognition outside this framework must be checked.
