In a nutshell

What this course aims to achieve

Analyse, prepare and secure confined spaces

One day to prepare and carry out a confined space entry safely: analysing, ventilating, measuring, attending and rescuing.

Key challenges

  • The atmosphere changes during work: welding, cleaning products or disturbing tank bottoms create a hazard that did not exist at entry.
  • The entrant is isolated and cannot see the danger: they depend on a reliable attendant and continuous measurement.

Learning objectives

  • Analyse a confined space before entry.
  • Prepare isolation, ventilation and measurements.
  • Apply rules during the entry.
  • React to an alarm without endangering new responders.
