Four days to design mechanical smoke control: flow rates, zone compartmentation, air inlets, controls and interlocks.

Key challenges

Undersized or unbalanced smoke control can spread smoke instead of removing it.
Air inlets are forgotten though they determine the actual extracted flow.
Interlocks with detection and doors must be tested as a whole.
