What this course aims to achieve

Understand ATEX regulations (Directive 2014/34/EU) applicable to the design of electrical and non-electrical equipment, and the international IECEx design rules for equipment used in explosive atmospheres

Two days devoted to the equipment itself: how it is designed, certified and marked, on the European side as well as the international one.

Key challenges

Equipment certified under one scheme is not automatically certified under the other.
The marking condenses into a few characters everything that governs use.

Position the international IECEx rules in relation to the European framework.
Fully decode the marking of an item of equipment.
Select equipment suited to a given zone and process.
