What this course aims to achieve

A ninety-minute session setting out a risk mapping method in five steps and ten deliverables. Its purpose is to decide whether to embark on the exercise, and with what resources, before committing to a full programme.

Key challenges

Risk mapping rarely fails on method and almost always on the time it demands of operational staff. Costing that out beforehand prevents abandonment half way through.
The first deliverable is not the matrix: it is the scope. Risk mapping without a defined scope expands until its authors are exhausted.
